Our Painted Rock Garden
Flowers bloom early spring through late fall in all colors of the rainbow from radiant reds to lavish lavenders. People all over the world love to enjoy God’s beauty all around. While traveling to Adrian for a funeral, a sporting event, or for a much-needed break from work, the need to see beauty still exists.
At Hidden Haven Adrian, we added a rock garden that is specifically in existence for our guests to add beauty before they leave. We have rocks from the sizes of strawberries to a juicy grapefruit. They range from silky smooth to rough and rugged. Whatever its size and texture, they are waiting for guests to show off their talents and original ideas in the form of paint that brings pleasure to all who walk through our doors.
Here’s what you do. Pick a rock that suits you. Imagine a design that resonates with you and start painting. We provide all the paint, markers, and even the design options just to get crea tive juices flowing. All you need is creativity, ideas, and time. Don’t forget to sign and date the back of the rock for all to admire.
By the way, this “Rock Garden” idea didn’t originate with me. My husband Steve and I were camping at Lakeport State Park in Lakeport, MI. During one of our morning bike rides, we stumbled across a HUMONGOUS painted rock garden with painted rocks from all over the country. Some were even six or seven years old! I then thought, “We can do that on a smaller scale at our place.” And, VOILA! Here we are just several months into our new garden endeavor, and we now have wonderful creations from so many talented guests that have added amazing beauty for us and other guests to enjoy. Guests of all ages can contribute and have made our rock garden a wonderful success!
